Qalamdan was designed by Catherine Baschet, who has designed eight gorgeous and memorable carres for the Maison Hermès   This scarf was first issued in 1990.  

Inspired by the qalamdan, a Persian box for storing pens, this scarf features the same intricate patterns and designs as its inspiration.  Lovely soft silk drapes beautifully
